Police seek fatal crash witnesses

Police have said they want to talk to anyone with information about a fatal crash in Leicestershire.

On Friday afternoon a Leyland HGV struck the traffic island at the junction with the A46 and A607.

The 60-year-old driver, Allen Kenneth Johnson, of Littlethorpe, Leics, died at the scene. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

Officers said they were keen to talk to anyone who saw the incident or the HGV in the minutes before.
